Types of irises

Iris is a large genus. Around Oklahoma City, bearded classes dominate garden tours and show tables, but society programs also cover beardless and species types when speakers bring slides from AIS conventions.

  • Louisiana and Siberian: Beardless irises that prefer steadier moisture; rewarding near ponds or irrigated borders.
