Volunteers spent a cool March morning resetting edge stones and refreshing variety tags along the public iris walk at Will Rogers Park. Several tall-bearded clumps that had drifted into the path were lifted and replanted deeper in the bed so bloom stalks will stand clear for tour guests this spring.
We also checked irrigation emitters that froze over winter and replaced two cracked risers near the south border. Guests walking the gardens in April should find cleaner labeling and fewer trip hazards along the mulched edges.
